Step 5 — Test & optimize where to place the node

  1. Switch the device on, and basic operations (on/off, sensor read)
  2. If the device is flaky, shorten the distance to hub or add a mains powered Z-Wave repeater (plug-in switch/outlet) for better mesh routing.
